“The ESOL course at Lincoln Minster School is definitely the best I have had. Firstly, it improved my academic results of different subjects because it boosted my English skill levels. ESOL also increases my university and career choices as it raises my IELTS results. What makes Lincoln Minster School a nice school for international students is the additional support on different subjects. ESOL teachers are not only supporting students in classes but also in other subjects the students are struggling in. In addition, ESOL helps students to socialise, for example, I’ve learned many interesting British culture facts from classes, and it also improves confidence in speaking English.”

Rhys, year 11

“ESOL lessons have helped me lots with my English and help me to understand other subjects much better. It's helped me to build my confidence when talking with other national British people, furthermore, I have built a good English writing ability and ESOL has helped prepare me for university”.

“Attending Mrs Nicola's ESOL lessons provide me with a chance to explore academic vocabulary of a wide range of subject areas. ESOL encourages us to speak and write confidently during practising for the IELTS exams leading me to pass the test at the first try.”
