A-Level Results Success 2024

Our students have celebrated their A-Level results today and the opportunity to take up places at a wide range of prestigious destinations - both academic and vocational – for the next stage of their education.

Students achieved A* and/or As in a range of subjects including Art, Music, Biology, English Literature, Business, Chemistry, Textiles, Mathematics, PE, History, Graphics, Geography and Psychology. Our CTEC Business programme also saw 88% of pupils achieve a Distinction* - Distinction.

Our Year 13 leavers achieved A-Level success in a wide variety of university applications for subjects including Medicine, Pharmacy, Fashion, Economics, Psychology, Law, Business Management and Social Anthropology.

Impressively, students gained places at numerous prestigious institutions including St Andrews, JCA London Fashion Academy, University of the Arts London, Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Newcastle University and Loughborough University.

Other students are taking their first steps into the world of work, including Will, who has successfully applied to undertake a degree apprenticeship, supporting the CEO of a financial IT services consulting firm (TORI Global) in Old Broad Street next to the Stock Exchange in London and Bank of England.

In addition, Reyna, one of our talented young musicians, will be taking up a place at the highly prestigious Berklee College of Music in the USA reflecting the increasing trend for students to travel abroad for the next stage of their education.

Jon Tyler, Head of Lincoln Minster School, said:

"We are immensely proud of our students who are celebrating their A-Level results today. We work very closely with each of our Sixth Formers to help them identify how and where they want to continue their education rather than adopt a one size fits all approach. Thus, we are seeing pupils taking up a much wider range of prestigious academic and vocational options than in the past both in the UK and overseas.

We wish all of our leaving pupils the absolute best as they build on their successes at Lincoln Minster School and embark on a variety of exciting future paths. We look forward to keeping in touch with them as part of our alumni community.”
