Lincoln Minster School recently hosted an exhibition showcasing over 100 years of photo and material archives.
The collection, which feature long-lost items discovered and stored over the last century, includes photos of pupils and classrooms from circa 1920s, telegrams and letters from the House of Commons in the 1950s and decades-old uniforms.
Lincoln Minster School was born of an amalgamation of St Joseph's Convent School, St Mary's School, and the Cathedral School - which has roots dating back to the 12th Century.
Alumni from each of the schools are invited to view a window to their past and reminisce their old school years. Many found old work, photos of themselves or their family, and even reunited with their old teachers.
Maria Young, Lincoln Minster School Headmistress, said: "We’re incredibly proud of our alumni and what they go on to achieve. This was an opportunity for our former pupils to share their stories and successes with us.
“The Lincoln Minster School family extends to our predecessors and this exhibition allowed us to reconnect and show how far the school has developed.”
Guests are invited bring old photos to share and add to the collection, as well as to work with the School to help identify pupils and clarify dates.
Gill Eyre, who has worked at Lincoln Minster School and St Mary’s Schools for a total of 44 years, added: "It’s wonderful to be able to share these incredible photos with others who have a shared passion for the schools.
“The schools themselves were never lost, but became a part of who we are now, and the exhibition helped to show that."
Pieces of the exhibition are now framed and permanently on display in the senior reception.
